Mental health + wellbeing strategy

We are hosting Lived Experience led online hui supported by our Lived Experience facilitators and Changing Minds team. These hui are small to ensure everyone has the space to be welcomed into the space and share their views.

Who are Changing Minds?

Changing Minds is a national not-for-profit organisation, led and operated by people who have navigated their own Lived Experience journey through mental health and addiction.

We nurture Tangata Mātau ā-wheako to embrace the mana of their lived experiences as a source of collective strength to activate equitable wellbeing across all of Aotearoa.

Want to share written feedback instead?

We know that some people in our community want to contribute to Changing Minds report, but might not want to do so in person. If that's you, we have a short survey option.

Fill out the survey here.

Our sessions are limited to 12 people. If the session you want to attend is full we will let you know, and either arrange alternative sessions or other ways of sharing your feedback.

Registration details

  • Once you’ve completed your registration form, our team will send you an invite to the Zoom meeting. This will have information about how to join the session.

  • Our spaces start with whakawhanaungatanga, getting to know one another, and collectively creating our tikanga (how we will work together and respect our privacy).

  • We will be joined by a member of the Ministry of Health’s Lived Experience Policy Team for the first 30minutes of our session, to talk about the strategy.

  • We’ll then work through the main questions as a group, before a short activity.

  • To close, we’ll share reflections and next steps.

  • As well as being Lived Experience led, we have peers on hand if you need a moment to chat in a breakout room.

What to expect

Changing Minds will weave together all the feedback received and submit our report to the Ministry of Health. We will keep participants updated as the mahi develops.
