LEAG Wellington Region

Lived Experience Advisory Group

Experts by experience.

  • We use our experience and knowledge to help others on their journeys.

Our work provides person-directed consideration and actions that honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and promote equity for all people in mental health and addiction services.

The LEAG works with Te Whatu Ora so the voices, ideas and aspirations of people living with mental distress and addiction are heard, valued, and can be acted on.

  • You know how to use your Lived Experience and to work with others to inform and shape service design, development and delivery. You have skills to guide, support, and inform mental health and addiction design, development and improvement considerations.

  • You can work collaboratively with Te Whatu Ora services, connect with community and work in a group in a way that is safe and creates an environment of trust, support and participation.
