Community Kōrero tikanga
Along with our general event tikanga, here are the values and practices that Changing Minds have in place for our Community Kōrero Social Space session—
Make yourself comfortable!
This is our most open-ended space - make it your own! Feel free to bring food and drink, blankets, and join from work or from your favourite spot on the couch.
Continuing connections
If you want to contact a community member outside of the session, it is ok to ask for contact information they would feel comfortable sharing.
Please share any contact information via private message to ensure privacy, or ask the session facilitator to faciliate this for you.
If someone does not want to share their personal information, please respect their wishes. If you are asked repeatedly for personal information and do not feel comfortable responding, please reach out to your facilitator so we can take it off your hands and keep everyone safe.
Changing Minds Safety Net
As much as possible, Changing Minds wants to let the kōrero sit with participants. We encourage participants to bring any topic to the session they want to talk about.
However, we do have a responsibility to keep you safe. The Changing Minds facilitator will step in to safeguard participants if any topic or behaviour feels unsafe.
