Tips for talking to the media about mental health

Want to tell your story to the media? Speaking to the media about our personal experiences – especially those involving mental distress – can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. 

  

Rākau Roroa, a Like Minds programme, recruits, trains, mentors and supports people who want to share their stories and projects around mental distress. Their ideas and conversations help to reduce self-stigma, prejudice and discrimination, and promote social inclusion, of the one in two Kiwis who will experience distress in their lifetime.
